Chris is a 23 year old astrologer from Colorado. He was educated at Kepler College, and his background is mainly in the history and transmission of astrology. He is the president of the Association for Young Astrologers, and the former president of the Cumberland, Maryland chapter of the NCGR, a position he held while working at Project Hindsight for two years. He moderates a popular astrology forum on Myspace called the Horoscopic Astrology Group. He is also the author of the Apotelesmatics Astrology Blog, as well as a forthcoming book titled Hellenistic Astrology: The Study of Fate and Fortune.

Joseph Crane

Joseph Crane studied philosophy as an undergraduate and has formal training as a psychotherapist. He has practiced astrology and taught astrology and consulting skills since the late 1980’s. Joseph began learning traditional astrology in the early-1990’s and since then has brought it into his teaching and consulting practice. Has lectured on ancient and modern astrological techniques, ancient and modern psychology, and connections between astrology and literature and philosophy. Joseph is the author of Astrological Roots: The Hellenistic Tradition, a presentation of Hellenistic astrology to modern astrologers, and Practical Guide to Traditional Astrology, and numerous articles. He is on the faculty of Kepler College.

Benjamin Dykes

Dr. Benjamin Dykes is a professional astrologer in Minneapolis, practicing traditional medieval techniques. He has taught philosophy at universities in Illinois and Minnesota, and teaches a beginning medieval astrology course in Minneapolis. He is also a translator, and has published the first-ever translation of Guido Bonatti’s massive Book of Astronomy, a classic of medieval astrology.

Meira B. Epstein is a professional astrologer, living in New York City. She is a teacher and a mentor on the Faculty of the New York Chapter of the NCGR, and a speaker on a wide variety of topics in national and international conferences. Meira also specializes in Uranian astrology and in preparing students for the NCGR certification program.

Meira is the translator of Avraham Ibn Ezra’s astrological works, three of which are already published. She has also written many articles, published in various astrological journals in the U.S, England and Holland. Her main focus is on the revival of ancient texts and techniques, integrating them into the current modern practice. Another field in her research is the unique relationship between Judaism and Astrology.

Penny Farrow has a B.S. and M.S. degree from Cornell University in the Biological Sciences and has had extensive career experience as a teacher, researcher and business woman. She has been involved in the study of the Vedic tradition since 1971 as part of a long-standing commitment to her spiritual practice. She has studied Jyotish intensely primarily under the personal tutelage of Hart deFouw and is a teacher of Jyotisha and Sanskrit at the Vedic Vidya Institute in San Rafael. Mrs. Farrow was honored with a certificate from the Institute of Astrology (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan) in New Delhi for promoting Jyotisha in the USA. She is the author of three articles for the Encyclopedia of Astrology second edition as well as several articles which have been published in journals such as The Mountain Astrologer and the ACVA Journal (American Council of Vedic Astrology) . Her ability to integrate and clearly explain the principles of Jyotisha make her a popular presenter at many conferences and seminars. She has been asked to teach Jyotisha as Vedic Heritage as both an outreach program and part of the residential program at the Arsha Vidya Gurukulam in Saylorsburg, PA. She practices Jyotisha full-time and is also a teacher and tutor for the American College of Vedic Astrology.

Steven Forrest is the author of several astrological bestsellers: THE INNER SKY, THE CHANGING SKY, THE BOOK OF PLUTO, THE NIGHT SPEAKS, MEASURING THE NIGHT, Volumes One and Two (with Jeffrey Wolf Green), and the mystery novel, STALKING ANUBIS. With his wife, Jodie Forrest, he wrote a two volume synastry series: SKYMATES I: LOVE, SEX, AND EVOLUTIONARY ASTROLOGY (2002) and SKYMATES II: THE COMPOSITE CHART (2005). Demetra George, M.A. Classics, received the 2002 Regulus Award for Theory and Understanding. A practitioner of astrology for over 30 years specializing in archetypal mythology, she has authored numerous books and articles, including Astrology For Yourself, Asteroid Goddesses, and Mysteries of the Dark Moon. She lectures internationally and leads pilgrimages to the sacred sites in the Mediterranean. On the original faculty of Kepler College, she is currently translating a corpus of hermetic medical astrological texts from ancient Greek, is an associate of Project Hindsight, teaches the history and practices of ancient astrology, and is taking people to Greece in June 2007 with Ancient Oracle Tours.

Sadasiva has over 20 years of Vedic Study and experience. He is a certified Vedic Astro-loger and teacher through the American Council of Vedic Astrology (level 2). He is the author of "The Ascendant - 108 Planets of Vedic Astrology" as well as a contributing author to various publications. He is also a certified Hatha Yoga instructor. Integrating the principles of classical Yoga with those of classical Jyotish is his greatest inspiration. Sadasiva maintains a growing list of clients and students from his home in San Francisco, California.

Michelle Gould, B.A., MFA, is a consulting astrologer living in Gainesville, Florida, where she teaches at the Avalon School of Astrology. She is a founding member and Treasurer of the Association for Young Astrologers (AYA), a nonprofit organization advocating for young persons in astrology, and a contributing writer for AstroDatabank. In addition to speaking at regional and national conferences, she enjoys integrating the best of modern and ancient techniques in her client work.

Dorian is presently a PhD candidate at the Warburg Institute, University of London. Her most recent book is Temperament: Astrology's Forgotten Key (2005). Her article ‘Rising to the Occasion: Appearance, Emergence, Light and Divination in Hellenistic Astrology’ appeared in The Imaginal Cosmos: Astrology, Divination and the Sacred (2007). Publications in other conference proceedings are forthcoming. She was interviewed in The Mountain Astrologer (June/July 2005); her article ‘The Well-Tempered Astrologer’ appeared in April 2006. Her first astrological translation was Paulus Alexandrinus and Olympiodorus for ARHAT (2001). She has been teaching and consulting in astrology since 1992, and lectures nationally and internationally.

Robert has been a student of astrology since 1960 and a full-time professional astrologer since 1972. His books include “Planets in Composite”, “Planets in Transit”, “Planets in Youth”, and “Horoscope Symbols and Essays on Astrology”. He is also involved currently in translating Medieval Latin texts of astrology into English in conjunction with his company ARHAT. In this connection he has also written a short text on astrological sect called Night and Day, and soon to be published Planetary Rulership and Dignity. He has a BA in history from Brandeis University and did graduate work in the History of Science at Princeton. He is working on his Ph.D. in medieval history at the Catholic University of America in D.C. He has served as national chairman of NCGR and is a patron of the Faculty of Astrological Studies. He has won the Regulus Award for Research and Development, and the Southern Cross Award from the Federation of Australian Astrologers.

Dennis M. Harness, Ph.D. is a professional astrologer who holds a doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology. For more than twenty years, Dennis has studied both Eastern and Western techniques of astrology. Dennis enjoys teaching students at Kepler College as well as tutoring students for the ACVA certification program. He also teaches workshops on Vedic Astrology and Transpersonal Psychology throughout the world. He was awarded the title of Jyotish Kovid and Jyotish Vachaspati by the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences. Dr. Harness is the Academic Dean of Faculty and Community Outreach of Kepler College in Seattle, Washington and the President of the American College of Vedic Astrology. Deborah Houlding

Deborah Houlding is well known for her theoretical expertise and practical experience of traditional horary astrology in modern-day life. She specializes in the works and techniques of William Lilly (she produced a richly annotated volume of Christian Astrology), but is also known for her research into the origin and development of astrological symbolism (author of The Houses: Temples of the Sky), and has been teaching traditional methods of astrology to students around the world through master classes, residential workshops and correspondence since 1990. She is the past editor of much-respected Traditional Astrologer magazine and currently acts as principal of the UK-based School of Traditional Astrology (STA) whilst hosting and devloping the Skyscript astrology website (

Rick Levine

Rick writes the daily horoscope column featured on, AOL, Google, and MySpace. He is the coauthor (with Jeff Jawer) of Barnes and Noble's annual Your Astrology Guide. Rick was a Founding Trustee of Kepler College. He's the subject of a DVD titled Quantum Astrology: Science, Spirit, and Our Place in the Cycles of History. Rick has been seen cruising the back roads of cyberspace late at night in his 4.09 Gigahertz '57 Chevy.

Raymond A. Merriman is the President of The Merriman Market Analyst, Inc. He is a financial markets analyst, and editor of the MMA Cycles Report, a market advisory newsletter that specializes in stocks, interest rates, currencies, precious metals, and grains. He has served as President of ISAR, the International Society of Astrological Research from 1994-2000, and again from 2002-2006. He is a recipient of the Regulus Award for Enhancing the Image of Astrology as a Profession at the 1995 UAC conference. He is also the author of several books on Astrology, including The Solar Return Book of Predication and Evolutionary Astrology: The Journey of the Soul Through States of Consciousness, and Financial Astrology, including the series on The Ultimate Book on Stock Market Timing, Volumes 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Eric Meyers is an astrology counselor, teacher and author living outside Boulder, CO. His background is in psychology, and he holds a Master's Degree from Naropa University in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology. Eric has studied with Steven Forrest and has received a certificate from his Apprenticeship Program. Eric's approach is to explore a natal chart as a meaningful representation of where a person is in their soul development. Eric has written 2 original books: The critically acclaimed, The Arrow's Ascent: Astrology & The Quest for Meaning, and the forthcoming, Between Past & Presence: An Evolutionary View of the Moon & Sun, to be published in Fall 2006. Eric's speaking engagements include the Northwest Astrology Conference (NORWAC) in 2005 as well as metaphysical fairs and bookstores. He is a board member of Rocky Mountain Astrologers (ROMA).

Laura Michetti

Laura Michetti is an astrologer, counselor, and mythologist living on Vashon Island in the heart of the Pacifica Northwest. After graduating with a B.A in Astrological Studies from Kepler College, she is continuing her education at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Her educational background has inspired her to examine astrology within the context of historical and mythological developments, whilst reflecting these themes back into the individual psyche. Laura has translated unpublished astrological texts from their original Greek, and is voracious language student in the beginning stages of learning Sanskrit and Latin. Ultimately enamored with the astrology and astrologers of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, Laura hopes to reignite a similar passion for classical studies amongst astrologers today.

Kenneth D. Miller took a very early interest in western astrology. He cast his first chart by hand at age 13. By the time Kenneth started college he was an amateur astrologer seeing a few clients and teaching from time to time. He studied and practiced astrology as an avocation until 1996 when, after an insightful reading from a Jyotishi, he decided to pursue professional education and training in Indian (Vedic) astrology. Kenneth is now a professional Indian astrologer and approved tutor, certified level II from The American College of Vedic Astrology. He has furthered his studies in India where he earned the title of Fellow of the Institute of Vedic Astrology (FIVA). In addition, he is a Lifetime member of the Council of Vedic Astrology, AFAN, and NCGR; and has studied Astrology in many traditions including Hellenistic, Medieval, and Renaissance. Constantly striving for more knowledge and understanding, Kenneth is currently a Masters candidate at Kepler College where he is working on his thesis.

Jessica Murray

Jessica Murray trained as a fine artist before graduating in 1973 from Brown University, where she studied psychology, linguistics and political theatre. She has been practicing astrology in San Francisco for over thirty years.
In addition to her monthly Skywatch on, Jessica is a columnist for and a frequent contributor to The Mountain Astrologer and other publications. She is the author of Soul-Sick Nation: An Astrologer's View of America (Jessica Murray MotherSky Press 2008), with interviews posted on and Jessica is currently at work on a book that uses astrological symbols to explore a merger of spiritual inquiry with social consciousness.

Joni is on the faculty with the American Council of Vedic Astrology (ACVA), and is the founder and director of the "Galactic Center" in Dallas, Texas. She has taught for the American College of Vedic Astrology online, as well as the Western astrology Online College of Astrology. She organized the first national conference of its kind, "Eastern Astrology for Western Minds," for teaching the Western astrologer Vedic astrology. Her book Eastern Astrology for Western Minds: A Compilation of Neo-Vedic Astrology is a bridge for Western and Vedic astrology.

Samuel F. Reynolds is practicing astrologer in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. He has trained with some of the most notable minds in the astrological world, like Alan Oken, Robert Zoller, and Christopher Warnock, all of whom have helped him obtain his Level III certificate from NCGR in 2004. He writes for numerous online and print publications, including, and an upcoming online magazine initiated by celebrated Def Poetry Jam Poet, Bassey Ikpi. He is also a co-founder of the Astrology Career Institute, which provides students with the resources and marketing tools to become practicing astrologers themselves. Samuel also provides astrological counseling for Robert Currey's Astro*Live*Link, a British-based dial-in service dedicated to astrological counseling for people throughout the English speaking world, and on weekends, he hosts the Zodiac Lounge, a local spiritual bazaar, where he brings together various healers and seers to serve in economically challenged communities.

Philip Sedgwick
Philip has researched galactic effects and the latest solar system discoveries since 1975. He has written a series of books on these topics, most recently producing the comprehensive Galactic Trilogy CD, which contains a book on astronomy for astrologers, another on heliocentric astrology, yet another on Kuiper Belt and Galactic interpretation as well as ephemerides for galactic points, Eris, Sedna and yet unnamed Dwarf Planets. He has written a variety of horoscope columns including those for, America West Airlines Magazine, Media and Constellation Magazine (online). Now he pens a mainstream market book on the reorganization (maybe) of the solar system, Pluto, Eris and more. Moses Siregar III has been a consulting astrologer for fourteen years and uses both Western and Vedic astrology in his astrological practice. Richard Tarnas

Richard Tarnas is a professor of philosophy and cultural history at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, where he founded the graduate program in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness. He also teaches archetypal studies and depth psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara. He is the author of The Passion of the Western Mind, a history of the Western world view from the ancient Greek to the postmodern that became both a best seller and a required text in many universities. His most recent book, Cosmos and Psyche: Intimations of a New World View, received the Book of the Year Prize from the Scientific and Medical Network in the UK.
Steve Weiss
Steven Mark Weiss is an award-winning business journalist, editor, speaker and consultant. His primary interests are cultural trends and demography, and he has spent his career working in a variety of consumer industries for publications and organizations that have employed his insights to identify mass market values and their consumer & human resources applications. He is the co-author of the highly regarded book, The Consistent Consumer: Predicting Future Behavior Through Lasting Values.

Until very recently, few of his clients and colleagues knew that Steve was also an avid astrology buff. According to Steve, after three decades of quietly applying astrological concepts to his discussion of demography and business trends, it was time to come clean. His new book, Signs of Success: The Remarkable Power of Business Astrology, is an engaging exploration of business personalities, trends and timing as seen through the lens of astrology.

Scott Wolfram

Scott Wolfram is a certified consultant of both Astro*Carto*GraphyTM, as championed by Jim Lewis and Continuum, and Evolutionary Astrology, as taught by Jeffrey Wolf Green. In 2007, Scott was President of NCGR’s Minnesota chapter.

In Scott’s practice, he interprets the planetary archetypes (including over 100 asteroids) through the lens of classic Greek myth to weave a rich tapestry of the soul’s journey. He specializes in identifying locations where life’s journey comes alive and one can consciously choose to move in harmony with the Sun, Moon and stars. Scott lives with his wife, Tammy, in Fairfield, Iowa.
