Workshop: Tuesday, September 16th 9 am to 12:15 pm ARCHETYPAL ASTROLOGY: SHIVA AND DIONYSUS - ASTRAL DEITIES OF ECSTACY AND TRANSFORMATION The workshop will begin with a discussion of the cross-cultural mythology of India and Greece embodied by Shiva and Dionysus. We will also explore the correlation of Shiva and Dionysus in the natal chart through both the tropical and Vedic paradigms. We will discuss the four levels of karmic theory and how it reflects our soul's karmic code or dharma for this incarnation. September 17th (Day 2-Vedic) 2:15 - 3:10 pm Dennis Harness, PhD Forecasting with the Vedic Dasha System (Planetary Periods) The Vimshottari Dasha system developed by the great sage, Parashara is a comprehensive forecasting technique of that reveals the developmental life cycle unfoldment throughout one’s incarnation. Dasha means a “stage or condition in life.” The nine Vedic planetary periods are very helpful in understanding the seasons of our life and planning long term goals. This dynamic assessment technique estimates when positive potentials as well as developmental challenges may occur. The dashas are indicators of when certain karmas have matured or ripened. During this lecture, we will explore the life events and planetary periods of Albert Einstein as reflected through the ancient dasha system of Vedic Astrology. |

These allow the astrologer to focus more specifically on various areas like relatioships, career, children, real estate, and so forth. The most important divisional chart is the Navamsa, or ninth harmonic chart. Learn some interesting things about this chart, and have a brief introduction to some of the other divisional charts as well. |
